Why
Christian Education?
Marshall Neufeld, PCS Alumnus
Marshall is currently in partnership with
his father, Chuck Neufeld, as a realtor at Royal Lepage in
Penticton. Previously, he was a staff member in the office
of Stockwell Day, MP Okanagan Coquihalla.
Why was Christian Education important
for me?
- It gave me Christian friends to grow up with.
- It gave me Christian teachers to look up to.
- It taught me that the Bible is true.
Christian Friends. It is important as you
grow up to have friends to play hockey with, go bike riding with, and to talk with. It is
even more important to have friends who share your belief in Jesus and support
your choice to follow him, to love him, and to avoid the world of drugs and
alcohol which confronts our young people. To have friends that you can study
the Bible with is an awesome thing. Christian Education is important
because it gives you friends who support your faith.
Christian Teachers. Every child has one or
two teachers during their years at school who is a role model
for them, whether Christian or non-Christian. But to see the
teachers that you look up to and learn from show no shame
in sharing that they are a Christian, reaffirms your own faith.
All teachers can guide and direct students into becoming all
that they can be, but a Christian teacher can do more. A Christian
teacher can help a student discover his or her moral compass.
Finding your moral compass in the teachings of the Bible leads
to a truly fulfilling and wonderful life, full of adventure
as you follow the future God has planned for you. Christian
Education is important because it gives you Christian Teachers
and Role-Models.
The Bible is True. In a world where morals
and virtues are no longer seen as being applicable to every
day life, Christian Education is important. It is so important
for students to know that the Bible remains true. It remains
true despite what our friends, neighbours, and fellow citizens
may believe. Christian Education is important because it supports
the teachings of the Bible. |
