BC Healthy Schools Network
Penticton Christian School (PCS) has been selected
by the BC Ministry of Education to participate in the BC
Healthy Schools Network pilot project. The Healthy Schools
Network is a voluntary organization of public and independent
schools, committed to developing a healthy school team, piloting
the BC Healthy Schools Network Assessment Tool, as well as
developing a healthy school goal and appropriate strategies.
The Healthy Schools Network is part of the Network
of Performance-Based Schools.
Participating schools such as Penticton Christian School
will contribute to the development of healthy schools performance
standards. The Ministry of Education is supporting participating
schools by providing expertise in the area of health, some
additional funding, and by coordinating the Healthy Schools
Network.
